Annual Bollito Misto Festa!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Those familiar with Poggio look forward to Bollito Misto every year – a classic Northern Italian tradition. A warm winter meal, this slow-simmered dish is served tableside from an imported Italian carello (cart) made exclusively for Poggio. Chef Benjamin Balesteri serves cotechino sausage, beef tongue, brisket, veal breast and oxtail, with a selection of house-made sauces including salsa verde, horseradish crème fraiche, bone marrow butter, and kumquat mostarda.

 

Even acclaimed restaurant critic Michael Bauer is a fan of this Poggio favorite, sharing "I can't think of anything better at this time of year." You can read more of his review of the dish from the San Francisco Chronicle  here.
