Meowsa CWA, changes are afoot!
I would like to introduce our new CWA Blog Editor, Janiss Garza. She has graciously volunteered to take on this job as Layla Morgan Wilde steps down. Janiss comes well-qualified, as she is the chief human on the award-winning SparkleCat blog. She will be seeking guest bloggers for CWA blog posts, so watch for her announcements.
Thank you, Layla, for the work you have done over the last year plus. I know we all wish you the best with those big projects you are working on -- the cruise, the book…. It’s an exciting time in your life!
The other mews is that CWA is changing website hosts. In response to the recent (and past) shutdowns due to our current host’s poor accounting system (losing our checks two years in a row), Council has voted to switch to IPOWER. I have been assured that the switch will be seamless, but we all know what that means. I do not anticipate anything major, but please do let me know if you find something amiss after the change has occurred.
The changeover should take within one to three hours, and is tentatively scheduled to take place on Monday, October 3, 2016, between 8am and 5pm PST. The website will be down at that time, of course, so please try to access it again later. If this schedule changes, I shall send out a Prolist message.
