Wednesday, March 11 Designers appearance: 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Shizue Iwasaki and Kikuko Umehara collaborate to create clothing that makes them feel positive about themselves. Each piece is handwoven, unique and distinctive. They rely on their intuition to choose their main color and then, like abstract artists, they allow that color to inspire other colors and textures. They find working together to be a joyful experience, and hope that joy is felt by those who wear their creations.
Every purchase encourages the talented designers and authors featured at AsiaStore while also supporting Asia Society exhibitions and programs.
