Shilo MFRC Presents…A Community Chronicle
Submit your story today

Based on the beloved series, “Chicken Soup for the Soul”, A Community Chronicle will be a collection of heart-warming, inspirational stories that demonstrate the resilience within our community. From our “regular” challenges such as postings and deployments, to all the unfamiliar obstacles that have come with 2020, we know there are some incredible stories of resilience, love, overcoming adversity and strength that you all have to share. We would love to create a collection of uplifting stories to commemorate such an eventful year. We will compile the submissions and print a book as a tribute to the strength of our community.

Some suggestions to spark your creativity include:
  • A time that you have overcome adversity
  • A time that you were supported by a friend or community member
  • A time that you supported a friend of community member
  • A funny story about yourself, friends or family/children
  • How you met a new friend or your spouse
  • Children may submit drawings that encompass “What does community look like to you”
Please feel free to be creative and write about any experience you like, however all stories should be positive and appropriate. Stories may be signed or anonymous – email to submit yours today. Alternatively, you may drop them off at the reception desk, attention to Ashley Constable, with your contact information in case editing is necessary.
The Shilo MFRC reserves the right to publish/not publish the stories submitted. Content must be positive and appropriate. If sharing a story that involves another community member, a release of information form will be required to ensure that all parties agree to share the story whether signed or anonymous.
