Hi Paddocks Press fan,

Announcing self-paced short courses!

As we aim to further our goal of professionalising the community schemes industry, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our short courses, designed for busy, working professionals.

That's why we have decided to introduce some of our UCT courses as self-paced courses, where you can enrol when you're ready and start on any Monday throughout the year, still with the support and guidance of your Course Coordinator and Course Instructor.

To view the available self-paced courses, scroll down to the Courses section of this newsletter.

When must an owner maintain the common property?
By Anton Kelly

Last month we asked you whether you would consider self-managing your sectional title scheme in a poll on the Paddocks Facebook page.

After all the votes were counted, the results are:

39.4% said "Yes, I would"

60.6% said "No, I wouldn't"

This result is no surprise as the majority of sectional title schemes are managed by managing agents. To learn more about the lesser-known self-management of sectional title schemes, read this blog post.
