Welcome to June at ATYP

This month's introduction comes to you from the courtyard of Riverside Theatres in Parramatta where we've just closed the premiere season of Follow Me Home by Lewis Treston. I'm heading back to the office after a month exploring the world of the 18,000 young people in NSW who need to access homeless services. Plans are now underway for...

Our 2019 Annual Appeal has launched and runs until June 30.

In 2019 Create NSW is generously matching donations during our Annual Appeal raising funds for ATYP On Demand, our online digital platform. This means every dollar you donate towards On Demand will be doubled up to $54,000.

With your generous gift, you too can play a role in the delivery of transformational theatre programs that positively impact the lives of thousands of young Australians each year. Thank you for helping us reach our 2019 target.

We are excited to announce that our second Pro Series for the year will be a Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Work course with the respected director John Bashford.

Actors aged 18-26 will spend a weekend in August analysing and unpacking the work of the bard, taking any fear out of approaching Shakespeare's texts. Whether it’s for a show or a drama school audition, every actor needs to have a Shakespeare monologue in their back pocket ready to go.

John Bashford is the Head of Acting at NIDA and has taught Shakespeare all around the world. If there's anyone who can guide emerging actors through the world of Shakespeare, it's John.
