DEMOLITION UNDERWAY ON THE ARCHIBALD SITE GOSFORD

Following on from our story in the last Agenda it was great to see demolition underway on The Archibald site in Gosford.  Awnings on Mann Street have almost gone.

UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE GOSFORD CAMPUS “3 DOWN 1 TO GO ”

In the lead up to the last State Election in March last year the Premier, Gladys Berejiklian announced that a new Central Coast Education and Employment Precinct would be located in Gosford along with three others in Sydney.  At this time all three Sydney Precincts have been announced but the State Government needs to complete the promise now and make an announcement in respect to Gosford.

Gosford Erina Business Chamber has reaffirmed its support for the University of Newcastle’s plans to establish a Campus on the old Mitre10 site in Mann Street, Gosford which is owned by the government.
UON has confirmed that they are committed to a Gosford Campus as soon as the State Government gives them the site and provides seed funding of $20 million.
The Chamber is disappointed that the Government is prevaricating in making a decision that will see the Campus built in Gosford and is also concerned that the Government refuses to invest in a new Education and Employment Precinct in Gosford.

GREAT NEWS FOR THE CHAMBER -  NEW 2 YEAR DEAL WITH SOUTHERN CROSS AUSTEREO 

The Chamber is excited to sign a 2-year agreement with Southern Cross Austereo as the Chambers’ Media Partner.
President Rod Dever said The GEBC have had a long-standing partnership with SCA and we welcome the continuation of this  partnership for the 2020/20222 years and look forward to working with the SCA team.

COUNCIL DUMPS GOSFORD - ORDINARY MEETINGS NOW AT WYONG 

Following a decision by Central Coast Council earlier this year to hold all their meetings in Wyong the Gosford Erina Business Chamber has written to the Mayor voicing our opposition to this move which significantly disadvantages ratepayers in the former Gosford Council area.
