Engaging gay Asian men: hard to research amongst the hard to reach?

Associate Professor Limin Mao will give the 2019 Sex Lecture on Thursday 21 February at the Eternity Playhouse in Darlinghurst. This public lecture provides a rare opportunity to illustrate how HIV social and behavioural research has been part and parcel of a visible transformation of local gay Asian men, their network formation and community building over the past two decades.

Increasing use and positive experience of PrEP by gay/bi men in Australia

Using repeated, national, online, cross-sectional surveys of Australian gay and bisexual men, we analysed trends
related to HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Specifically, we analysed trends in PrEP use, willingness to use PrEP, and

Picturing Cancer Survivorship exhibition

Our Practice Justice Initiative team at CSRH, led by Scientia Professor Alex Broom, held the Picturing Cancer Survivorship exhibition throughout November at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Picturing Cancer Survivorship is a collection of photographs providing a glimpse inside life with cancer through the eyes of those who have lived it – people living with cancer.
