Dr. Mackintosh's research interests are focused on proteomics and mass spectrometry. As co-director of the  Winthrop P. Arkansas INBRE Receives 5-Year
Funding of $18.4 Million to Promote
Biomedical Research Across Arkansas
Students in the 2019 INBRE Summer Research Program worked in labs at UAMS.

Arkansas INBRE, which promotes biomedical research with programs for undergraduate students and faculty statewide, has seen its federal funding renewed for $18.4 million over the next five years.

“Under the leadership of Dr. Larry Cornett, the Arkansas INBRE has supported the growth of science across Arkansas for more than two decades, including significant investment into student training, bioinformatics and core resources that have fueled the growth of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and better positioned us to become an NCI-Designated Cancer Center” said Alan Tackett, Ph.D., associate director for basic research in the Cancer Institute. Read more>
