Self-Realization is the ultimate human experience of joy and happiness. It is of the highest scale and intensity. The joy that one experiences in Samādhi is unimaginable. But do we have the capacity to bear this much happiness and joy? Most of us do not until we develop it. How do we do this? Just as the mountain climber climbs progressively higher mountains, we must develop our capacity to feel more and more happiness. Contentment develops the capacity to experience this joy. Whenever we feel contentment in our lives, we build our inner resource to recognize and experience joy. Actually, any time we experience any form of happiness, it indirectly prepares our system to feel greater happiness. Joy begets joy.
