A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Good afternoon <<First Name>>,
Today we are 99 days away from the beginning of the full roll out of the NDIS! Find out how the NDIS will roll out in places where bilateral agreements have been signed - QLD, SA, TAS, VIC & NSW. By July 1, all eligible people with disability in the ACT will be able to access the NDIS. We don't know about WA and NT yet because they haven't signed the bilateral agreements.
In Issue #13 news articles we give you an overview of what happened at the recent meeting between the ministers responsible for disability from all over the country. We talk about co-design - it's really important, but it's not always easy to make happen. And now that the Queensland bilateral agreements have been signed, we can tell you where and when the NDIS will be rolling out across Queensland.
If you're keen to hear more about what we at Disability Loop have planned next, check out this audio and transcript of a presentation Disability Loop Project Senior Manager Catherine McAlpine gave recently at the DARU Advocacy Sector Conversations in Melbourne, on our upcoming NDIS workshops (for people with disability and for community organisations) - and how our national consultations informed their development.
We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We will always welcome your feedback.

Co-design wasn't meant to be easy
Co-design basically means that the people responsible for designing something do it with advice from the people who will use it. Co-design with the NDIS is great news for people with disability. But who are the 'designers' of the NDIS? And have they been using co-design?
The state, territory and federal ministers for disability meet four times a year. They met recently to talk about the NDIS. Some of the things that happened in the meeting were unexpected, and made people feel worried about the future of the NDIS.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) roll out has been announced for Queensland. This page will help you find out when and where the NDIS is coming to you if you are in Queensland.
This page gives you detailed information about how the NDIS will roll out across Queensland. There is a video (with captions), metropolitan and regional maps, and information packs for people with disabilities and for service providers, as well as a link to the bilateral agreement documents.
