Attention CWA Contest Judges
First, I give "paws and applause " to each of you for stepping up and serving as contest judges. We all need to do our part to support our CWA organization.
Yes, many of you did receive packets with 3 to 4 categories to judge by March 27. We need 3 judges per category, and not every CWA member who entered the contest agreed to judge (despite receiving a solid discount in entry fees).
Please realize that in the non-book categories, it should take you 2 to 3 hours max to score and select a winner (with a brief comment on why) and then email me back your scores. Please do not suddenly declare you don't have enough time. We are already stretched thin. You can do this! You are a professional journalist and we need your talents.

rather than snailmail them back. We hope to tabulate the scores and be able to announce the certificate finalists by the first week of April, to give winning members sufficient time to register for our conference and book air flights so they can be recognized in person at our gala Awards Banquet. |
