How many people does it take to create a home?

Hint: It's a lot.

Le Mondo, an artist-owned hub for live arts and performance in Baltimore, is unfolding steadily over on Howard Street. Since last year, we've been in talks with the city to buy three derelict buildings on the 400 block of Howard Street downtown. Now, we are embarking upon our first fundraising milestone: $75,000 this summer.

These funds will: allow us to secure rights to the buildings, get into them, and begin development on our first space now.

But how will we do it?! Well...If you feel creating a artist-owned home for live arts is a crucial project for the face of arts and culture development of Baltimore, we urge you to lend a hand and a couple of dollars.

We received a matching pledge of $25,000 if we can raise as much by the end of this month so time is of essence! Help us kick this off right as we raise $25,000 by June 30!

Wanna level up? You can also pledge to raise funds for Le Mondo yourself. Click "Fundraise for This Campaign" and set up a profile and goal amount. It's a great way to contribute if you don't have a lot to spare yourself.

BALTIMORE YOUTH ARTS
Baltimore Youth Arts is our first community partner for the Le Mondo project! They plan to set up shop in Le Mondo with offices and classroom space for their programming.

Baltimore Youth Arts' (BYA) mission is to assist young people in gaining the creative, personal, and educational skills that will enable them to become leaders in their communities.  BYA provides artistic and entrepreneurial opportunities to youth so that they can hone their talents and use them to shape the world.

BYA creates a rare opportunity: providing access to art within adult and juvenile justice institutions and using art as a tool for employment once they reenter the workforce.
MONDO FESTO
This August 21 and 22, we'll be hosting MONDO FESTO - a two day theatre and performance festival - at Psychic Annex on 219 Park Avenue. The festival will feature a small taste of our rich performance scene in Baltimore - theatre, performance art, installations, and music.

All-access passes will be available exclusively to individual donors of $500+ or those who raise over $1000 for our current campaign as a thank you for your contribution! Individual tickets will be available at the door each night.
