Are you still looking for holiday gift ideas?
Read on about two women who are using their businesses to give back to our research program.

Elizabeth Guz -- ELLA Designs Jewelry
"Link by Link, Helping Us Find a Cure for Bipolar Disorder"

Liz lost her son Michael to bipolar disorder. To further raise awareness and funds for bipolar research, Liz and her daughter Lauren launched ELLA Designs Jewelry. 50% of all proceeds of their business are donated to the Prechter Fund in memory of Michael. Visit the ELLA Designs Jewelry website to browse the beautiful collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings, or contact Liz if you'd like to host a jewelry party in your home.

Elisa Aronica --  Personal stylist for Stella & Dot

Elisa lost her mom to bipolar disorder. Together with her fiance Brady, Elisa is hosting an online Stella & Dot accessories trunk show to benefit the Prechter Fund. They will donate their commission of 25% to support our research programs.
In addition, Elisa has selected a couple of special items that will give the Prechter Fund even more proceeds -- she will donate an additional 10% of sales from the products listed in our interview with her. Shop her sale of fashionable and trendy jewelry and accessories until 01/21/2017 to support our research.
Ask the Doctor: Holiday Stress Strategies

Our research director, Melvin McInnis, M.D., regularly pens the "Ask the Doctor" column for BP Magazine. You can read the latest one focusing on holiday stress strategies here. You can find out more about Dr. McInnis here.

Dr. McInnis was also recently interviewed for the Michigan Video Abstracts (MVA) website. A major focus of MVA is current and cutting-edge research and collaborative and multidisciplinary work at the University of Michigan. MVA showcases the work of senior U-M faculty who have made substantial "contributions to knowledge" during the course of their careers. In the video, entitled "The Study of Bipolar Disorder is the Study of Humanity," Dr. McInnis talks about all the different research projects that make up the Prechter program. You can find the video at the top of our videos page.
