Feature Films Coming to Valve's Steam Platform
Valve's Steam platform announced Lionsgate, which will make feature films available to all Steam-supported platforms - including the HTC Vive. While the films can be viewed in a VR-setting, the films are not virtual reality films - nor are they 3D films. While the novelty experience is a step in the direction that might indicate a preemptive move toward supporting and distributing future VR films, the current setup allows for an experience similar to going to the movie theater while being in your own home.
