Fran DiDonato is a GALA Board Member and chair of the governance committee. She is also the publisher of Fresh Water Cleveland, an online magazine highlighting what's next for Cleveland. Originally from the Boston area, Fran lives in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood with her husband and two kids, dog, backyard chickens and bees. She's a graduate of Boston University and the University of Texas School of Law.
Why did you join the GALA Board or Directors?
I became fluent in Spanish by learning it in school. It was a passion of mine but I didn't have the chance to start learning until my middle school days. I always say if you know another language you can make more friends. In a global world, I want the kids of Cleveland to have every advantage they can to become a global citizen.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I'm very active in my community and sit on several boards. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and traveling.
