New Classes
As our student body grows and evolves, we are always looking to add new programs and classes that fit the needs of our population.  During our 2016-17 school year, we added a Book Club as well as a Computer Club.

Due to the success of this past summer's reading curriculum, LVGH decided it would be a great idea to add a class that focused solely on reading books together.  So far, the Friday morning Book Club has been reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, a student selected book.  Members of the club enjoy partaking in conversations with one another and typically find it much easier to understand the characters and what is happening in the story.  Once completed, the students are looking forward to watching the movie so that they can compare the two versions.

Our Computer Club has also been seeing success as well.  In
order to help prepare our students for the real world and keep them up to date with technology, we wanted to offer more guided time and practice in the computer lab.  Every Friday any LVGH student (tutors too!) can come to work on digital literacy skills. Help is offered with typing, general internet/computer usage, creating and using email addresses, and so much more!
