Suddenly it’s August! 

Seems this year is running faster than the noses in our year 3-4 Ensemble. As the cold weather grips, we spare a thought for our comrades around the country who are getting back to their drama classes in community halls and big old rehearsal rooms. Workshops for term three are starting this week for us all and it’s the season where 'doing a warm up' takes on a whole new meaning.

BATHORY BEGINS

Rehearsals have begun for, Bathory Begins! The show features an ensemble of 14 talented young actors who are hard at work bringing this black comedy to life.

This ATYP Foundation Commission Award-winning show has been penned by talented writers Emme Hoy and Gretel Vella. Check out the interview above to learn about their writing process and inspiration.

MEET THE CAST

WRITING AT ATYP

20 emerging writers have been selected from all over the country to attend our acclaimed week-long residency known as the National Studio, at Bundanon Trust, at the end of August. Meet the writers and the mentors on our website.

On Thursday August 22, the 2019 Martin-Lysicrates Prize event will be held at the Riverside Theatres, Parramatta. We can't wait to see the first 15 minutes of the top three plays and see which is voted the winner by the audience!
 

ALL THINGS WRITING

TERM 3 & 4 DRAMA CLASSES

Term 3 and 4 weekly drama classes have started. But don't worry - it's not too late to enrol!

Our weekly drama classes run seven days a week during school terms and are led by industry trained actors and directors who will guide students through two terms of all things, acting, storytelling and story building.

There's a great range of classes from Kindergarten to Year 12 and we have fantastic payment plans available. Check it out!

NEW THEATRE
CATS TALK BACK BY BESS WOHL
 9 – 14 SEPTEMBER
This delicious comedy, based on interviews with many erstwhile performers from the Broadway production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber mega-hit, is a funny, poignant and insightful look at the Cats phenomenon, what it means to be an actor, and what happens when the lights go down.
