Servant of Servants
As the trip to America came to an end to the sadness of the devotees who were part of the organising team, during the last leg of the trip in Southern California, Swami called them into His room and soothed their souls with His speech.
“I am so very happy with all the arrangements that you made for Me, as well as the entourage. See, these people (referring to the members of the entourage) are constantly working shoulder to shoulder with Me, be it in the field of education, healthcare, nutrition or global mission of Ashrams and Centres. They barely get holidays or enough rest, as there is much to do in limited time. However you devotees thought about their welfare and made their stay so comfortable. I am happy!”
“Serving God itself is a blessing. Serving the servants of God is even greater blessing. For the one who serves is the greatest in the spiritual realm, and you have been servants to the servants, and that makes you greater than the greatest!”
How could we thank Swami and His humble American devotees who personified what a servant of God is? Rested, relaxed and rejuvenated we returned with gratitude in our hearts and a greater zeal to do more for Swami!
DIVINE VISIT – NAYA RAIPUR – CHHATTISGARH
JULY 16 TO 18, 2018
It’s said that ‘Faith can move Mountains’. Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital stands out as the testimony to this marvellous statement. There was an astonishing jubilation and ecstasy in the air, as the entire team at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital was ready to receive the Supreme Personality and His chosen army. Students, both boys and girls from the Sri Sathya Sai University For Human Excellence, and alumni who were pursuing their medical course in the various medical schools, were present to receive the benediction from their Divine Master at Naya Raipur on July 17, 2018!
Swami had arrived with previousnight, and led Sri T B Jayachandra, former Minister of Karnataka on a quick tour of Sri Sathya Sai Sowbhagyam Centre for Human Development, and the C Rajeshwari Auditorium. After speaking to the team, He partook His dinner and retired.
The next morning, July 17, 2018 began at 9 a.m., much to the joy of the nursing students, for it was an exclusive session with them. Thereafter, Swami proceeded for a tour of the Hospital. He entered the Hospital at around 9.30 a.m. along with Sri C Sreenivas, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Sri T B Jaychandra, few esteemed guests, and the staff of Sanjeevani. Swami went around the hospital talking to various patients for nearly two hours. It was truly ‘love in action’, as the Lord walked around, blessed each and every child! Thereafter, everyone proceeded to the C Rajeshwari Auditorium at the Sri Sathya Sai Sowbhagyam for a staff gathering with Bhagawan. A beautiful cultural presentation by Bal Vikas students was the first programme, and this was followed by a few Doctors expressing their journey at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani. After Mangala Arati, Swami was served lunch by the staff of the Hospital.

The time had arrived for the grand inauguration of ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh Centre of Excellence in Pediatric Cardiac Care & Training’ by Honorable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr Raman Singh.

HOW CAN PROBLEMS IN SOCIETY BE RESOLVED?
DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY – JULY 17, 2018
It has been said in the Upanishads that this body has been given only for service. This body is best used when it is an instrument for serving others. It is only because of the spirit of sacrifice and service of the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers here that this hospital is where it is today. And with Baba’s grace, when this hospital celebrates its tenth anniversary three years from now, it will be among the world’s best pediatric cardiac hospitals. This is His blessing. And we must all be ready for this.
His abundant blessings are also on this state because this is where He established the first pediatric cardiac hospital. And now, as Baba says, when the government, society and the institutions work together, it is only then that problems can be resolved. And, today we have the first such example where the government, society represented by the devotees and well-wishers and the institution have come together to take the next step forward.
There is not much to say because the work speaks for itself. The Honorable Chief Minister has assured that he is at every step, with the hospital and will support the institution in future too. We are extremely grateful to him.
And another nice thing. A little three-year-old boy, a year ago when he was two years old, had come to see the hospital with his father. And today, on his birthday, he has brought....
