He is also a trained hypnotherapist and regression therapist, and currently serves as a visiting faculty at the Centre of Human Excellence, Muddenahalli campus. His vibrant talk was centred on the theme- Ending the harmful effects of the mind. He spoke eloquently on the topic, sharing a healer and hypnotherapist’s perspective. He explained that all the circumstances and events that occur in one’s lives, including the people one meets are a direct result of the thoughts one entertains. As is the thought, so is the reality that manifests in one’s life, he said. Quoting Bhagawan’s words, “YadBhavam, Tad Bhavathi”(what you think, you manifest), he explained that God is helpless before human will and urged everyone to use their will in the right direction so that it will always be in sync with God’s will. He ended his talk with a short guided Jyoti meditation.
Going beyond the mind and senses
The next speaker was Swami Hamsananda, a former member of the Chinmaya Mission. He is actively involved in the Chinmaya youth movement and was instrumental in establishing and propagating....

WORLD YOUTH MEET, 22 NOVEMBER 2016
MORNING
The morning session for the penultimate day of the World Youth Meet commenced at around 10 AM with melodious bhajans followed by Vedic invocation by the girl students of Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam, Alike campus.
Education for Transformation
The morning session commenced with a short video presentation on ‘Education for Transformation’; showcasing the Sri Sathya Sai system of integral education. This acclaimed system of education has its own ideal under the direct guidance of Bhagawan which is reflected in the transformative character of the students when they pass out colourfully. The presentation clearly showed as to how Bhagawan’s institution thoroughly moulds the character of students and teachers by having healthy and conducive environment, by following moral discipline and by inculcating the five human values such as Right-Conduct, Love, Peace, Truth and Non-Violence.
Annapoorna Breakfast Programme - a case study for End the Mind
The first speaker for the day was Shri Anand Kadali, a Senior Executive from Hewlet Packard and coordinator for Bhagawan’s breakfast programme. He mainly focused on Annapoorna Breakfast programme launched by Bhagawan in 2012 with just ten volunteers in the initial stage, which now increased to 150, selflessly working day in and day out in around 120 villages providing daily food. Besides the breakfast scheme, the programme expanded itself by starting health screen camps for about 6000 children and establishing drinking water plants spanning across 1200 villages in chikballapur district in just nine months. The talk was ended with an inspiring video showing the history of Annapurna Breakfast Scheme.
Different ways to End The Mind :

BHOOMI PUJA FOR ‘PREMA SADANA’ AT SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI – A RESIDENCE FOR SENIOR THYAGA JEEVIS, ON NOVEMBER 22, 2016
A Bhoomi Puja (land consecration ceremony) was held on the morning of November 22, 2016 for the future residence of senior Thyaga Jeevis (those who have selflessly dedicated the last 40-45 years of their lives in His service). The site for this proposed building was in verdant surroundings, nestled in the lap of the surrounding hills, ringed by swaying coconut trees, and located adjacent to the Centre for Human Excellence in Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli.
Swami arrived promptly for the ceremony at 10:00 o’clock, accompanied by Sri Narasimha Murthy and other guests.
Welcoming Swami and all the guests to the morning’s ceremony, Sri R K Subramanya, Muddenahalli Ashram Administration Staff, said that this proposed building was an answer to the prayers of many people over many years. He said that when Swami announced, just a mere three days ago, that He wanted to build flats for the benefit of the senior Thyaga Jeevis so that they could spend their golden years in quiet contemplation, it came as a pleasant shellshock to everyone!
Sri R K Subramanyasaid that 24 units, with all facilities including a library, were planned occupying a total area of 23,000 ft2.
Speaking next, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy said it is everyone’s birth-right to acquire eternal love, which is possible only through sacrifice (Thyaga). He further explained that sacrifice does not mean the mere relinquishment of wealth and family, but rather the giving up of the weaknesses of the heart – our animal qualities and selfishness – at the altar of divinity.
Going down memory lane, Sri Murthy outlined how the late Sri Madiyal Narayan Bhat....

91st BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS - NOVEMBER 23 2016, MORNING
Morning
The morning of the much-awaited day of the year dawned to picture-perfect start in the beautifully bedecked Sathya Sai Grama. The entire ashram wore a festive look, and the excitement was more than palpable, as devotees, staff and students gathered in the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Hall to witness the glorious day.
Bhagawan was led into the Premamrutham Hall by a procession of students, consisting of the Brass Band Sai’s Angels, a veda chanting group of boy students and a dance parade by the girl students. The entire energy of the hall was on a spiritual high, leaving many teary-eyed and awed by the beauty and magnificence of the experience. It was pure love in the air, and made for an apt and befitting celebration of the birth day of the eternal one, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
After Bhagawan cut the cakes that had been prepared by the many groups of devotees, the formal proceedings of the morning began with Vedic invocation by women delegates from Japan, UAE and India. The morning also coincided with the Valedictory Function of the World Youth Meet. The next programme was a bouquet of songs presented by the Singapore devotees. The group, comprising men and women across age groups and professions, sang from their hearts and inspired everyone with their child-like love for Bhagawan.

Bhagawan has, in the past, extolled Sri Srinivas as a great saint and spiritual luminary, who belongs to the heavens and not to the world. This was followed by a musical composition by one of the finest music composers and dispel of Mandolin Srinivas, Devi Sri Prasad. Devi Prasad composed a song on his Guru, Srinivas, as a token of his love and gratitude. Sri Shashi Vyas, one of the greatest connoisseurs on Indian Classical Music, spoke about Mandolin Srinivas on Bhagawan’s command. Skill knowledge by putting it into practice – Summary Divine Discourse on 21 November 2016 – Evening
Reading and writing will only bestow upon us bookish knowledge – that is not true wisdom. Just knowledge is not enough; you have to add skill to the knowledge. We have to put that knowledge into practice. Only when we practise our knowledge, we can truly understand the inner significance of that knowledge. When you practise knowledge with skill, it leads to balance in your life.Today youth are getting into depression. There is no balance in their lives. When somebody praises them, they exult and bloat. When they face difficulties, or they are criticized, they get into despair and depression. They have not attained equanimity of mind and are vacillating between success and failure, pain and gain. If you want to attain balance in life, it is very important that you develop devotion to God. You have to believe that God exists. God will protect you. He will look after you. He will safeguard you andyou have to experience this by putting all this into practice.
When you decide to put into practise some of Swami’s teachings, you will face tests. “Love all, Serve all” – all of us know. But are we putting that into practice? It is easy to love those who love us. The true divine love is to love those who hate you, who do not love you. For that we have to put in Sadhana or effort. What is this Sadhana? Sadhana is to put into practice what Swami wants us to do. Use discrimination. Before you think, before you speak, before you act, think whether this will take you nearer to God, or take you far away from God. What is Punya or merit? That which takes you nearer to God is Punya or merit. How do you know that you are getting nearer to God? When you put into practice God’s teachings, you will get peace of mind and that is the indication you are getting nearer to God.
When we are putting in spiritual effort, we should know whether we are getting peace of mind. We have to also discriminate whether ego and attachments are decreasing. Only when you think of all this, do.....

Education should lead mankind towards immortality- Summary Divine Discourse on November 22, 2016 – Evening
The modern education has led mankind only into confusion. It has led mankind to become more egoistic and self-centered. The need of the hour is the education that leads mankind towards immortality. Vidya – the very word tells us the inner meaning of knowing – Vid to know, ya – that. Knowing that which is to be known is the true purpose of Vidya or education.
Learning everything else about this changing world will only keep changing and even if you are educated today, tomorrow you will appear to be uneducated because of the changes that happen rapidly. Our scriptures describe this kind of education as Jeevanopadhi, the one that is needed for eking out one’s livelihood. Higher than this is Jeevitaparamavadhi, that which leads us to a higher life. Without goodness and good conduct, can any education be called good education? All teachers, administrators and the elders are working day and night to fulfil this vision of good education, which is the very backbone of Indian culture.
The word Bharata means people who revel in the glory of the Lord. In the word Bharata- ‘Bha’ means Bhagavan, ‘Rata’ means the one who enjoys or revels in it. The very basis of Indian culture is the belief that God exists. And because this culture is based on this permanent truth of the existence of God, this culture has also remained permanent and not faded away with changing times. It is quite natural that, something that is basing itself on fundamentally permanent things will always remain permanent but that which bases itself on the temporary, will fall apart some day. Today, India is standing on the threshold of a very great time ahead. It is here to reclaim its past glory of being the teacher to the entire world. And this is the perfect time to spread this culture of India, which believes in God and being godly, to the rest of the world. And today the very purpose...

No reason for love, no season for love: love loves for its own sake – Summary Divine Discourse on November 23, 2016 – Morning
The whole of creation has emerged from love. Ultimately, the whole of creation will merge back into love. There is not a place in this universe, which is not impacted by the power of love. And if you want to know the essence of all Divinity, it is nothing but pure, absolute and selfless love. When your vision is filled with love, you will see the whole creation as God, as Brahma, as love. For this eternal principle of love, there is no beginning, no end, and no middle.
God shines forth in every heart as the effulgence of love, as the effulgence of the Atma. He has no death, He has no birth, He has no beginning and no end. He can neither be killed nor can He die. The body may come and go but love that we share with others through this body is permanent and it will live even after we die. Like a Divine magnet, this Divine love attracts everyone to itself. A flower with honey in its bosom, need not invite bees; bees will come by themselves. Similarly, wherever there is this Divine selfless, pure love, devotees who aspire to experience that love will come without invitation.
Many people come and tell Me, “Swami, You are establishing so many educational institutions, so many hospitals and You are doing so much for humanity. It is possible only for You.” But truly I do nothing. I am just a witness. The love in Me is doing everything. Develop selfless love. That is all I want from you and nothing else. When I experience the love of My children who are here, I lose Myself in bliss. I look at the love that emerges in the pure hearts of My devotees. I lose Myself and go back to My original, primordial Divine nature. I am doing everything in order to teach you this lesson of love,....

God is bound only by love-Divine Discourse Summary on November 24, 2016
His hands and feet are everywhere; His eyes and face is everywhere; His head is everywhere; He presides the entire universe; He resides in everything in the entire universe. It will be an act of ignorance if we declare that God resides here and does not reside there. It will be a greater act of ignorance if we declare that God does this and does not or cannot do that. And it will be the greatest of the ignorance to decide what God should be doing and what God should not be doing.
God, who pervades this entire universe right from the basic atom to the entire cosmos is bound by no law. But yes, He does operate bound by the only law of love. It is only to love that He bends, it is only to love that He concedes, it is only out of love that He acts and it is only love that can bind Him. God too expects nothing else from anyone else except for this love and gratitude for all that God does. We tell thank you to everyone we look around. But do we tell thank you to God who has given away everything without any expectations? God does not expect thank you in words from anyone. But what He does look for is the gratitude in your heart that must express itself as an act of love. And this love is all that God expects for which He stretches out His hand to receive.
No amount of payment or gifts or any kind of other physical objects can match the hard work, the sincerity and devotion of all the workers that are associated with the Ashram. But as a token of love and gratitude on behalf of the entire Ashram and the devotees, we have decided to build a shelter – residences – for all of them ‘Premashray” within the campus. And soon as the building gets ready, I will personally hand over the apartments to each one of them so that they can live comfortably, conveniently and serve with greater joy and enthusiasm.
Not only that, their children are all being educated in our institutions....
