“Duty without love is deplorable. Duty with love is desirable. Love without duty is Divine. Duty implies force or compulsion while love is spontaneous and expresses itself without external promptings. All the Japa (recitation), Dhyāna (meditation) and the deeds of merit you perform will be futile, if you do not cultivate universal and selfless love.”
-Baba

INNER VIEW

-By Sri Madhusudan Naidu

Yesterday, Swami was speaking to two scientists who were requesting Him to come and open their research lab. Swami remarked, " Oh! If I come you will start doing experiments on me."

They said, "No Swami, we won't."

He smiled and said, "But that's what people do with me, they keep experimenting on me to find out whether I am God or not."

Then with a certain seriousness Swami said, "No one can know me by experimenting, but only through experience can I be known
."

As the scriptures say, "The one who cannot be described by words and who cannot be grasped by the mind."

Truly, Swami can be known only through experience, and all experimenting is a sheer waste of one's time, and opportunity!

DIVINE VISIT TO JAYAPURA CAMPUS AND HASSAN CAMPUS – SEPTEMBER 24 - 25, 2016 (DAY I)

SRI SATHYA SAI SATHYANIKETANAM, HASSAN – SEPTEMBER 24 - MORNING

On Saturday, September 24, Bhagawan along with few guests started from Muddenahalli to visit three of His institutions. First, being the newly built and functional residential campus for boys in Hassan, very aptly named by Bhagawan as Sri Sathya Sai Sathyaniketanam. Thereafter, Bhagawan was to proceed to  Jayapura in Chickmagalur district, to visit two campuses - Sri Sathya Sai Divyaniketanam for boys, and Sri Sathya Sai Sriniketanam for girls.

Bhagawan’s convoy started soon after an early breakfast at 7.30am and proceeded towards Hassan. The campus miraculously came up in a short span of four months, from the acquisition of land to the construction of the buildings, in order to commence the residential campus in the month of June 2016, for the new academic year. Presently there are around 73 students in Grade Six, ably looked after by 10 teachers. Two of them have been handpicked by Bhagawan Himself. Sri Dwarkanath who has been serving Bhagawan for over four decades at Sri Sathya Sai Grama, and thereafter was instrumental in developing the first campus at Gulbarga in Bhagawan's continuing mission, the Bagalkot campus thereafter, followed by Vijaypura,  and now in his own home town, Hassan. The other person Swami had handpicked and sent to the Hassan campus is Brother Ravi Kasturi who is also alumnus of the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Prasanti Nilayam. He thereafter served as Trustee at Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Trust and now has also been given the additional responsibility to look after the Lord's children in Hassan campus.

Swami arrived at the Hassan campus past noon, and approached the new building set amidst the beautiful green hills that lie between the famous ancient towns of Halebidu and Belur.  All the children lined up on either side of the carpet with folded hands and it was a joy to see such innocent little faces brimming with happiness on the arrival of Bhagawan amidst them.

Sri Dwaranath welcomed Bhagawan and took Him towards His room in the small campus.  Swami vividly commanded.....

DIVINE VISIT TO JAYAPURA CAMPUS AND HASSAN CAMPUS – SEPTEMBER 24 - 25, 2016 (DAY II)

SRI SATHYA SAI SRINIKETANAM – SEPTEMBER 25 - MORNING

Next morning soon after breakfast, Bhagawan’s entourage proceeded towards the Sri Niketanam campus which is located on the other side of the Jayapura town, a few Kilometres away from the boys campus. After reaching the Sri Niketanam campus, Swami walked around inspecting the construction work, commenting and guiding as to what was needed to be done. Girls and teachers were all dressed up and with vedic chants and songs, Bhagawan was welcomed and taken to the third floor of the building, where the hall was made ready for the programme. Swami walked floor by floor patiently and at every floor stopped, looked at the construction work and gave His precious guidance. Finally, after reaching the top floor He walked into the hall where all the children were already seated and dressed up in various costumes for the performance that was to follow. Swami took His seat on the dias along with the other guests and the initial vedic invocation by girl students commenced which pleased Bhagawan immensely and He commented that they are all chanting in one single voice like the cuckoo, which sings melodiously. Two girls who were the Masters of Ceremonies for the day, announced the programme and this was followed by the welcome speech of the newly appointed principal, Ms Prarthana.

To the delight of all students right from Grade six onwards to Grade ten, several programmes and dance dramas were presented at the Lotus Feet of beloved Bhagawan. They came one after the other, as an ceaseless stream of delightful performances, each doing better than the previous one. The devotion and enthusiasm was evident from the hard work they had done in order to prepare these performances and please Bhagawan. Needless to say, they won the hearts of all gathered with their wonderful performances, and more than anything else their smiling faces conquered the audience.

After the performances, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy spoke briefly about the importance of education for women in Bhagawan’s mission. He placed women at the highest pedestal of Indian society for as mothers , they are the ones who build the lives of the children and in turn the society and nation. He quoted the examples....
