"Wherever there is selfishness, there cannot be any peace of mind. Even in this age when the whole of mankind is filled with very severe ego and selfishness, devotion alone can stand in us in good stead."
- Baba

Those are the moments when the Master chooses to teach profound lessons so effortlessly that we tend to miss the depth of His dealings! INNER-VIEW, a special article by our very own Brother Madhusudan Naidu, wafts in the  fresh fragrance of wisdom from the innermost sanctum sanctorum of the direct Divine Presence!

INNER VIEW

-By Sri Madhusudan Naidu

Three birthday boys walked in to Swami's room for blessings (a privilege only given only to His students).

Swami asked one of them, "What is your name?"
"Arun", said the boy.

The same question was asked to the second boy, and he replied, "Shashank".

"What is the meaning?", asked Swami.
"Shashank means Moon", replied the boy.

"Oh yes! Shashank means moon and Arun means Sun. So both Sun and Moon are here. Who is more important?".

Shashank replied both are important. "Yes! But why?", quipped Swami.

"Because Sun gives light and moon...err....umm", as the boy was thinking, Swami replied, "Both are important as one gives light during the day, and the other during the night".

"No one is unimportant in God's creation, if you have been created then you must be important! Never consider yourself as a lesser being or an unimportant creature by comparing with others. All are important but only when they do their duty! If the Sun stops shining and the Moon stops cooling, will they remain important any more? No. Therefore, as long as you are doing your duty of serving and helping others, you will be important in this creation!"

Lesson taught!

DIVINE VISIT TO NIGERIA – ENUGU – JULY 25, 2016

JOYJesus First, Others Next and Yourself Last – A Divine Visit to the Joy Ashram.

Day three of Bhagawan’s second visit to the blessed land of Nigeria, took the action to Enugu. Enugu, where one of Swami’s dearest devotees, Father Charles Ogada has been painstakingly taking care of many children. He built the ‘Heart of Love Children’s Home’, in the year 2011 for the homeless, orphaned and disadvantaged children. The ‘The Embodiments of Love Academy’ is a primary and secondary school, built in the following year and today, more than 350 children receive values-based integral education totally free-of-cost. Like minded individuals from across the world, who believe in Bhagawan’s tenet of selfless service to the humanity irrespective of caste and creed, have been a pillar of strength to these beautiful initiatives by Father Charles, under the direct benign guidance of the Lord.

In the year 2010, moved by the plight of the villagers in Ebe who had no access to drinking water, Father Charles executed a drinking water project,’ LIQUID LOVE’, and today more than 11,000 people are blessed with this basic necessity of life. To go back a bit in history and time, Father Charles....

DIVINE VISIT TO NIGERIA – ENUGU – JULY 26, 2016

A LABOUR OF LOVE – FIRST FREE SATHYA SAI HOSPITAL IN AFRICA

July 26, 2016 will go down in history as the day when Bhagawan’s healthcare mission commenced with the inauguration of the new hospital in Enugu, Nigeria. The Joy Ashram was abuzz with activity with everyone from grownups to children, putting the final touches. On the red lettered day of Swami’s mission in Africa, the magnificent edifice of the Hospital beamed in pride of being the largest medical centre sprawling on 35,000 square feet of construction, ready to serve all, absolutely free!

The miracle story behind is far more intriguing, a perfect master plan! Early last year, Brother Jude Nam had enquired with Father Charles about the possibility of a heart operation for his 10 year-old-boy at any hospital, at an affordable cost. Father Charles prayed to Swami who guided him to Swami’s hospital at Naya Raipur, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, which performs free cardiac surgeries for children. It is a National Center for Child Heart Care, the largest and the only hospital dedicated to providing totally free-of-cost Pediatric Cardiac Care. In a short span of four years since inception in November 2012, over 10,000 children with heart disease have been treated, and over 2300 surgeries have been performed, of which 1000 were performed in the year 2015.

With Swami’s guidance for Brother Jude Nam’s child, the whole system sprang in to action immediately. Documents were prepared, visas were procured, tickets were arranged and Brother Jude Nam travelled with his child to Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital.....

A GIFT OF LIFE FROM SWAMI TO THE CHILDREN OF FIJI

With the Divine Command of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in September 2015, the Sai Prema Foundation (Fiji) was formed in the Fiji Islands.

The Foundation is facilitating a visit by a team of ten doctors, nurses and specialists from the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital (SSSSH) from Raipur India, in conjunction with the Fiji Ministry of Health and the CWM Hospital in Suva, which is Fiji’s premier Hospital.

The visit will be from August 8-18, 2016 to perform cardiac surgeries for  40 children with congenital heart disease, absolutely free-of-cost!

This is one of the initiatives by the Sai Prema Foundation (Fiji) to help the underprivileged and the needy people of Fiji, in addition to performing free medical camps in the rural and remote villages through its “Health on Wheels” Mobile Hospital.

This visit by the Pediatric Cardiac team is a very timely one! Fiji was hit by a tropical cyclone earlier this year and as a result, none of the other visiting cardiac teams have performed any surgeries on children this year.

The Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon from SSSSH, Dr. Ashish Katewa, was in Fiji in March 2016 for a visit and met with the members of the Ministry of Health, doctors, nurses and staff of the CWM hospital, and visited the operating theaters, ICU and other facilities.

His team  is very excited at the prospect of helping the children of FIJI with a "Gift of Life”, as many of these children would succumb if they are not treated immediately, as many have been on a waiting list for a few years. In a meeting with the honorable Assistant Minister for Health Mrs Veena Bhatnagar earlier  in the year, she mentioned that the cost per surgery is estimated at $55,000 per person, equating to a value of $2.2 million worth of free surgeries!

The Pediatric team from CWM headed by Dr.Ilisapeci Vereti (Head of Department of pediatrics, CWM hospital) and the local coordinator from the Sai Prema Foundation, Dr. Krupali Tappoo, have been working closely with Dr.Ashish Katewa to ensure all the preparations are in place for the surgeries to be performed in the next few days! Truly, a gift of life!

Summary of Divine Discourse on 31 July, 2016 at Sathya Sai Grama

What is the nature of love? To love somebody who loves us, to hate someone who hates us, that is not true love at all. Love gives its love to everyone equally and does not differentiate between people. People may talk of love but what they experience is only Anuraga or attachment. Where there is no giving and taking, only then it can be called love. Divine love keeps on giving to everyone; it does not accept anything in return. It is in its nature to love and forgive everyone.

Manava Dharma, the ultimate duty of any man, is Prema Dharma, the Dharma of love. Love is the most important principle. Truth, righteousness, peace and nonviolence are the trees that have come out of the soil of love. These qualities, which are born out of love will become ours if we develop true love.

What is the first quality of a true devotee? You should not hate anyone. If you have to avoid hating anyone, you have to first develop love. When you have that kind of mind filled with love bereft of hatred, then you will have compassion and friendliness towards everyone. When a person develops these qualities of love, compassion....
