Just yesterday the renovations on the historic firehouse at 120 East 125th Street were under way. The Firehouse will be the future home of the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI); a non-profit art organization & NHEMA member with a rich history that's been around for nearly 40 years. Their mission is to connect & advocate for the traditions, history, culture & advancement of the African Diaspora. In their 40 years history, CCCADI has presented transcendent talent, organized international gatherings, curated groundbreaking shows & programs that focus the advancement of the diaspora.
The Center has been, an accessible community resource that produces culturally-grounded & purpose-driven works. In its new home in East Harlem, they will be easily connected with the diverse population of Africans, African American & Latino that resides in West & East Harlem.CCCADI continues to present exciting works using Harlem as their stage.
