A NEW YEAR FOR NIGHTSCAPE
2017 promises to be big year for the Nightscape series. This past month saw two long-anticipated releases: the Project Nightscape concept album, To Sin Against Our Mercies, and the pulp-inspired double-novel, Nightscape Double Feature No. 1.
The Nightscape concept album features the melodic stylings of Grammy-nominated guitarist Tony Gaglio and musical contributions from Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath), Tobin Sprout (Guided by Voices) and Pete Trewavas (Marillion). Early reviews compare the music to classic Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Rush. Hi-res digital downloads are available from Bandcamp, CD Baby, Google Play, iTunes and other online retailers. The limited edition CD version is available from Bandcamp, CD Baby and of course, the Nightscape series website.
Nightscape Double Feature No. 1 offers up a rare treat of literary pulp. Superhuman soldiers, secret animal cults, marooned alien gods, masked detectives, crystalline ghosts, surreal apocalypse weapons--this one damn-near has it all! The book is available on Amazon only in paperback as the second story required a number of unique typographic treatments that can't be replicated in popular ebook formats. The book recently received a "highly recommended" review from Pulp Den.
This year will see the release of two more Nightscape books--a sequel to the aforementioned concept album titled Early Darkness and a second Nightscape Double Feature--plus, the first Nightscape RPG! I'm aiming for a May/June release for Early Darkness to be followed by the game in September and the double novel in November.
Special offer: While you're waiting for 2017's publications, I'd be happy to send a PDF copy of the first Nightscape Double Feature in exchange for an Amazon and/or Goodreads review. Just reply to this email with your interest and I'll send one your way.
All the best in the New Year,
David
