Prince William to make Royal Family's first official visit to Israel

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, will visit Israel this summer, Kensington Palace announced on Thursday.

It will be the first official visit to Israel by a member of the British Royal Family in the State of Israel's 70-year history.

Shocking media headlines omit “Israel” from Prince William’s visit – mention only Palestinian Territories

The BBC, Sky News and other media outlets across the UK shockingly omitted Israel from their headlines about Prince William’s visit, despite the future king being set to make the first official Royal Family to visit Israel. He will also be visiting Jordan and the Palestinian Territories, but in an example of blatant bias by the media, many headlines only highlighted his visit to the “Palestinian Territories”.

Some of the press went even further by referring to Palestinian Territories as "Occupied".

We take a look at how the press and media reported.

Yes, we noticed the lunchtime BBC news headline was that he would be visiting the "occupied Palestinian territories," only mentioning Israel very briefly in passing at the end of the item. - LES
This is utterly disgraceful and totally unacceptable from our National broadcaster. Sadly not untypical though. - BILL
