Brexit Secretary: “I will honour my father’s memory by fighting anti-Semitism ‘until my last breath'”

In a moving moment during the Brexit Secretary’s speech, Dominic Raab told the Conservative conference this week that the experiences of his father, who fled the Nazis aged six, has inspired him to fight anti-Semitism “until my last breath”.

Israel sends aid to Indonesia after devastating tsunami, earthquake – despite not having diplomatic relations


Israel has sent aid to Indonesia following the devastating earthquake and tsunami.

Israel, which does not have diplomatic relations with Indonesia, sent water purifiers to the disaster-hit areas through the Red Cross, and a team of aid workers are also understood to have been sent.

Nobel Peace Prize winner, Nadia Murad: “Israel is a beacon of hope for Yazidis”


The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to a Yazidi ex-captive of ISIS who has previously compared her people’s own struggle with that of the Jewish people during the Holocaust.

Speaking in Israel in 2017, Nadia said, “For three years, ISIS has stolen the authorship of the Yazidi story. But we will not let them write our future. My time in Israel has shown me that in the wake of oppression and genocide, a community can emerge stronger.”
