German court rules Kuwait Airways can ban Israeli passengers

A court in Frankfurt has ruled that Kuwait Airways may bar Israeli citizens from boarding its planes in Germany.

The Frankfurt District Court ruled in favour of the state-backed airline in a case brought by Israeli passenger who was last year barred from flying from Frankfurt to Bangkok because of his nationality.

Frankfurt’s mayor Uwe Becker had earlier said any airline with discriminatory practices “should not be allowed to takeoff or land in Frankfurt, or at any other airport in Germany,” adding that this Kuwaiti law was “deeply anti-Semitic”.

What you've been saying about the German ruling on Kuwait Airways:
Perhaps you would like them to wear a yellow star of David too! Stupid. Ban the airline from Germany would have been a more noble ruling! - IAN
So the court made its decision on the grounds of the Kuwait domestic law which discriminates against Israelis. It should be ruling on German and international law, on discrimination - MARK
How appalling. How could Germany allow such a decision. Have no lessons been ledrnt from the past. - MARJORIE
A dangerous precedent. This is actively supporting anti-semitism. Shame on those judges. - ROGER
