"The history of modern Zionism is intertwined with the history of Britain" - PM Netanyahu

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Prime Minister Theresa May gave speeches at the Balfour Centenary Dinner on Thursday evening.

In her speech to guests at Lancaster House, May said, "When some people suggest we should apologise for this letter, I say absolutely not."

Netanyahu said, "I thank Britain for the foresighted declaration of Lord Balfour. I thank Britain for liberating the Holy Land from 400 years of Ottoman domination, and I thank Britain for valiantly standing alone against the Nazi tyranny. For all this the Jewish people and the Jewish State will be forever grateful."

100 years ago we had Bible believing politicians who influenced the course of history. As a nation we have been blessed, and we see prophecies unfolding in our time. May your time here be blessed likewise as you honour HaShem. May both our countries be proud to praise His name. - BEV
Thank you PM Netanyahu for acknowledging our Balfour centenary. Israel today would not exist but for the initiative of our great Christian and Jewish Zionists. - ALAN
