The votes are in: Congratulations! SB 439 will become Oregon law!
Together, the work of thousands of Outdoor School advocates helped pass today's historic Outdoor School legislation. SB 439 passed the floor of the House of Representatives with a 59-0 vote.
By making your voice heard in Salem through emails, letters and opinion pieces in the news, your hard work led to the passage of Oregon's first law to establish Outdoor Schools throughout the state. Today, the Outdoor School for All Coalition is celebrating YOU, because YOU made this happen!
Of course, this would not have been possible without Oregon's senators and representatives voting yes. Please take a moment to find your legislators and send them a short note of thanks for their support of SB 439.
We will keep you up to date about where the legislature lands on the funding for Outdoor School as well as the date and time of the bill-signing ceremony.
