Have you stopped (slowed down) to think about think about this lately? About the fact that what you do each day matters? And what we do every day, or on most days, matters more than what we do once I a while?
Just like training our body in physical movement, exercise and activity, it's a practice to train our minds to be mindfulof the choices we make each day and to remember that our daily choices matter more than the choices we make every now and then.
As part of creating a lifestyle of health and wellness to live your best life, you must first remember that you matter.......and that you are worth it, just as you are today. And that everything you do matters and makes a difference, in your own life and the lives of others.
You may have heard one or more of these before, but here's a little reminder:
It's the little things that matter.
It's the little things that add up.
It's the little things that make us happy.
It's the little miracles that happen each day.
It's the little bites we take each day towards progress, not perfection.
Don't wait for the big things, the big moments, the big crisis, or the big decisions to choose to be more mindful and present. For, It'sHow We Spend Out Days" that determines how we spend our lives.
(Refer back to this Weekly Wellness Bite link for a refresher)
You can make a difference each day - in your health, fitness, that big project, the small one, in your relationships, your community and in the world - by how you choose to handle and respond to the little things.
To practice this week's Wellness Bite, I encourage you to set your intention each morning and remember not just what you need and want to do for the day, but to refer back to your "To Be" list. Remembering who you want to be is a quick way to prioritize what's really important, to re-balance and to make healthier choices - physically, emotionally, mentally intellectually and spiritually - on a daily basis.
Remember, it's a daily practice and it's a process. Embrace the process and the little things along the way.
One Bite At A Time.
