Aloha Friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i,
Happy last day of March to all of you! This has been a great month for all of us at BBBS and we're excited to share our stories and photos from the past month.
Special thanks to all of our donors who participated in our "once-a-decade" donor survey. There is ONE day left to participate, so please click HERE by midnight on Saturday, April 1st (no April Fool's!). Your feedback is incredibly valuable, will help us improve our communication .
Last month on Kaua'i we hosted our biggest Bowl for Kids' Sake yet - raising $33,000 to help Kauai's keiki! Plans for our 10th Anniversary celebration are currently in the works...stay tuned!
On Oah'u, one of our Little Brothers will be representing BBBS and participating in Lemonade Alley, a competition that teaches young entrepreneurs how to do good business with a giving heart. We are looking for volunteers to help come squeeze lemons and help Little Brother Link on Saturday, April 8th at Pearlridge Shopping Center during setup (6am-7:30am) or during the event (8am-1pm). Please let us know if you are available!
Mahalo for reading, commenting, and sharing!

"Supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs and their mission of proving children with positive role models is a no-brainer. Filling out pledge forms, writing and mailing your check can be time consuming, and admittedly, maybe not always the highest priority. Monthly giving is both fulfilling and convenient – I feel that I can make a greater impact to help, and having it spread out monthly makes it easy to budget and plan."

Mahalo to Vene Chun for educating us about Maui’s very own fishpond and teaching us how to trap fish! We began the day with E Ho Mai, a knowledge-granting chant that asks for guidance and an open-mind, and ended the day with Oli Mahalo, a chant that appreciates nature and our ancestors. Here's the video!

Big and Littles on Hawai`i Island enjoyed a match activity at the movies to see Kong: Skull Island! Big Brother Tim and Little Brother Cyrus, Big Sister Laura and Little Sister Cheyenne, and Case Manager Jodi Vierra gave it two thumbs up.

Our Holomua Bigs and Littles had a blast at Pali Lanes eating pizza and having a friendly competition - we celebrated high scores and gutter balls, all the same!

Mahalo to Hawaiian King Candies for giving Oahu matches a tour on Kuhio Day! Besides touring the factory and getting to taste a variety of delectables, what really made our visit special was getting to meet the owner of the company and hear his advice about life, education, and happiness.

Matches on Maui had the privilege of meeting the puppies-in-training at Assistance Dogs of Hawaii. Mahalo Tracy and Katie for teaching us about the amazing work the organization does for our community and for giving us a short demonstration!
