The Great War Exhibition was designed as a temporary exhibition, to be open for the duration of the First World War centenary, and close following the November 11th Armistice Day Ceremony. The Great War Exhibition has been an important part of the centenary programme. It has been well-attended by the public and has made a significant contribution towards the programme objectives around connecting people with this important era of our history.
“It is tinged with disappointment that we close, but all staff and volunteers involved in the design, construction and ongoing presentation of this world class exhibition can take great pride knowing that this very important part of New Zealand’s social history has been so highly regarded by all visitors, whether local or international,” says General Manager Dave Clearwater.
Visitors & Bookings
Due to increasing interest in the Exhibition and Quinn’s Post Trench Experience, the ability to book online has now been removed. Unprecedented demand of pre-booked tours was preventing ‘walk up’ visitors from having the opportunity to fully experience The Great War Exhibition.
We welcome your visit.
